Places to Be, Things to See!
Undoubtedly during your stay you’ll be looking for places to visit, sights to see, and things to remember after your stay. We’ve compiled a small list of some memorable activities for you to partake in during your stay.
SkyCity Auckland
The complex contains two casinos, restaurants, bars, a hotel, a theater, and the 1,000-foot tall Sky Tower, which offers stunning views and bungee jumping. Casinos have over 1,200 slot and gaming machines, as well as popular table games like Blackjack, Baccarat, and Jai Sai. For our gambling enthusiasts visiting New Zealand, we cannot suggest that you try out one of the SkyCity Casinos during your stay as they’re massively impressive in terms of their size, game selection and other activities, as well as the sheer scale of the venues.
Sailing in The Bay of Islands
The Bay of Islands in a word is probably going to be the most picturesque, movie-like experience you can have while staying in New Zealand. With white sand, clear blue water and a beautiful oceanic vista to look out on, as well as hiring a boat to go sailing. This is not something that will cost you a fortune, but it is sure to leave you with a lifelong memory with whoever you choose to share this experience with.
Wine tasting at Waiheke Island
It's little surprise that the 92-square-kilometer island has developed a reputation as a wine lover's paradise, with roughly 30 vineyards. A common pastime is to visit the more popular vineyards or to stay in a luxury villa for a few days and sample the wines. If you’re visiting New Zealand with a loved one and want to create a romantic memory for you to share and cherish for years to come, this is a must see for you.
Visit Hobbiton
If you’re a lord of the rings fan then you’re sure to know how much of the movies were filmed across the sweeping landscapes of New Zealand. Thankfully, the beautiful hand crafted set for the Hobbits, Hobbiton, is still available to visit and view and take a tour with a guide. This is possibly the coolest thing you can do while you’re visiting New Zealand if you’re a fan of the movie trilogy, and we cannot recommend it enough even if you’re a passing fan, due to how fun the experience can be.
The Southern Lights
Everyone has heard of the Northern Lights, but did you realize there is another natural phenomenon going further south? The aurora australis illuminates the sky in pink and green colors as it dances through the atmosphere, leaving observers in awe at the amazing sight unfolding before them. This is one of the most breathtaking natural sights in the world, and if you have the chance, you should absolutely take advantage of your stay to view them.
